Show Hammer Takes Seat on Moab City Council Members of the Moab City Council met in short session on Tuesday night at which me they administered the oath of office to Richard Hammer, newly elected to the Council. Hammer was placed in charge of parks, recreation and planning for the next two years. A change in programs for the other councilmen was pl-so pl-so anounced with William D. McDougald in charge of administration ad-ministration and finance, Harold Ha-rold Jacobs in charge of water wa-ter and sewer. Jack West in charge of streets and flood control and J. Kay Hawks in charge of public safety, health and civil defense The men will remain in these positions until the next City election in two years. In other business, the Council Coun-cil agreed to remove the "no left turn" sign at the Post Office after hearing reports that the sign was causing more problems that it was a!-eviating. |
