Show Moab Response Great During USU Lecture Series "The response from Moab citizens to the Freedom and Respon- sibility series has been most valuable," says T.Y. Booth, project director. dir-ector. "The reactions to the series as a whole and to particular presentations pre-sentations has shown a great insight and has put us in closer touch with how citizens of the state feel on matters of human hum-an values. We are most grateful to all those who helped make the series a success and to those who attended the Thursday Thurs-day evening meetings." The Freedom and Responsibility Re-sponsibility series, sponsored by the College Col-lege of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and the Extension Services of L'tah State University, and by the Xational Endowment En-dowment for the Humanities, Hum-anities, has completed its run of weeklv corn- inunity discussion. Over the past nine weeks, participants have discussed problems prob-lems relating to freedom free-dom from fear. "We hope the series has helped to make the community aware of the resources of the university univ-ersity and will lead to more successful university-community confrontations. con-frontations. We are of course, open to any ideas for future single programs series, or full scale classes that might interest the people of Moab and the surrounding area." |
