Show Green River Coed Appears With Thunderettes Regi Weihing, a 1975 graduate gradu-ate of Green River High School, will appear with the Southern Utah State College Thunderettes March 11-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The 18-member group, under un-der the direction of Ms. Nancy Stringham, has been invited to perform as a "demonstration "demonstra-tion team" for the North American Association of Drill Teams. The Thunderettes just recently re-cently appeared at the Los Angeles Forum for a Los Angeles versus Chicago Bulls basketball game. "Both the upcoming Vegas trip and Los Angeles invitations invita-tions were first time affairs for us," Ms. Stringham said, "to our knowledge we are the only Utah marching group to appear in the Forum." SUSC's precision marching team appears at home football and basketball games and has traveled to appear in Salt Lake City, Gunnison, Colorado, Colo-rado, and for a UNLV contest' " jn Las Vegas. Regi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Weihing, Green River. She is a sophomore sopho-more at SUSC majoring in pre school teaching. She is a member of Lambda Delta Sigma, the LDS Young Adults where she serves as group librarian, and was,active as a March of Dimes Volunteer. While attending Green River High School, she was a member of the drill team for four years. |
