Show Mountain Fuel Completes Four Corners Wells Mountain Fuel Supply Company Com-pany officials today announced an-nounced the successful completion com-pletion of two Kinney Unit wells and a Bruff Unit well plus gas showings from tests on a second Bruff Unit well and a wildcat well near Farm-ington, Farm-ington, New Mexico. Kinney Unit Well No. 4, located in southwestern Wyoming Wyo-ming (Sec.12, T3N, R100W), has been completed n the Dakota Formation through selected perforations from the interval 13,758 to 13,953 feet. The well on March 2 was producing without stimulation at the rate of 11,117,000 cubic feet of gas and 29 barrels of water per day with a flowing tubing pressure of 4,750 psi. Mountain Fuel has a 65 percent per-cent interest in Kinney No. 4. Kinney Unit Well No. 1 (Sec. 18, T13N, R99W), origi-i origi-i nally completed in the Nugget ! Formation, has been dually 1 completed in the Nugget and i Frontier Formations. The Frontier is producing through 1 perforations from the interval i 13,444 to 13,474 feet. As of March 1, the well was produc- ing without stimulation at the I rate of 1,400,000 cubic feet of 1 gas and 37 barrels of water i per day with a flowing tubing I pressure of 1,200 psi. The ' previously completed Nugget Formation in this well is making 1,060,000 cubic feet of gas and 8 barrels of water per , day with a flowing tubing pressure of 750 psi. The i Nugget has been producing I since its completion in March ; 1975. Mountain Fuel has a 66 i percent interest in Kinney J No. 1 Bruff Unit Well No. 3 (Sec. 16, T19N, R112W), also in southwestern Wyoming, has been completed in the Frontier Fron-tier Formation through perforations per-forations from the interval 11,322 to 11,302 feet. On a production test March 1, the well, after stimulation, was proudcing at the rate of 3,880,000 cubic feet of gas per day with a flowing tubing pressure of 2,700 psi. This well extends the Frontier production approximately 1 mile to the north in the Bruff Unit. Mountain Fuel owns a 64 percent interest in Bruff No. 3. A drill stem test of the Frontier Formation from the interval 11,717 to 11,779 feet on Bruff Unit Well No. 5 (Sec. 21, T18N, R112W) made gas at a rate of 795,000 cubic feet of gas per day during a 3-hour flow period. Casing has. been run in this well and it is presently waiting completion in the Frontier Formation. The well is 6 miles south of Bruff Unit Well No. 1 and 1 mile south of Bruff Unit Well No. 4. Mountain Fuel owns a 50 percent interest in this well. Fruitland Well No. 1, a wildcat well 8 miles northwest of Farmington, New Mexico, was drilled to a total depth of 12,437 feet. A Completion attempt was made in the Barker Creek Formation through perforations from the interval 11,511 to 11,548 feet. After stimulation, initial flows of oil and gas were gauged; however, the flow diminished and.the well is currently being studied with bottom-hole pressure recorders to determine deter-mine the next course of act- ion. Other potentially productive pro-ductive zones may be tested at a later date. By drilling the well, Mountain Fuel earned a one-half interest in approximately approxi-mately 4,000 acres controlled by Tenneco Oil Company under un-der terms of a farmout agreement. agree-ment. In addition. Mountain Fuel owns full interest in approximately 8,000 other acres in the area. |
