We hope she had a very happy day. We have great news! We are meeting in our own building this week. The kitchen is finished so we can be inside even though the siding is not completed but that is another contract and another story. We were lucky to have the use of the cabana at Denise's, and we appreciate it but still and all, there is just no place like our own. Grant Geary made a nice big woodbox and it's full already.. I wouldn't be at all surprised but what a little elf named Woodrow has a fire blazing away to make us feel warm and welcome when we enter.' The young people I told you about last week have been busy again this week, too. Thanks so very much Jason Keetch, Raelyn Maxwell, Jedidiah We just got the news of the death of Lucille Black Hancox who died at her home in Las Cruces, NM on Nov. 9 at the age of 96. She is a sister to Marie Warburton. You may remember, Marie & Lucille had their picture in the Bee in August when Marie celebrated her 89th birthday. There was eight brothers and four sisters in the family. Marie had one brother younger than her and she admits; as the baby sister she just might have been a wee bit spoiled. Now she is the only one left and even though she and Lucille didn't get to see much of each other they kept in weekly contact by telephone and she will miss her. We send our sympathies to her. I wonder if you smiled at the beauty or grumbled to yourself when you looked out and seen the ground all covered with snow. Oslo Brees says: Sometimes we get to thinking That our lot is pretty tough,... So many seem to have too much And others not enough,... Then rose-tin- ts in our glasses Jacobson, Alexandria Orgill. Horace Pace and Mike Brierley. There's lots of good in our young folks if we just give them a chance. The officers and board members: Delia Griffith, Grant Geary, Woodrow Nielson, Louise Wallace, Shirley Phelps, Betty Wilde. Gen Geary, Amy Shaw and Lyle Willoughby met Friday. We came to the conclusion that we need help. Please share your suggestions as to what activities you would like to participate in. Election time is here again and since Frank Toole who has always done such a good job on the nominating committee has already gone to a wanner climate, we need a volunteer for that duty. Any volunteers? Please, don't all stand This week, the Summit County Animal Shelter has a wide variety of cats to choose from, including this unflappable gray male. He has a lot of love to give aad he wants to give it to y.ou (yon know who yoa are). We have a m altitude of kittiea to choose from ia including some black and white kittens of various sexes; two five month old male black cats; and two female . five moath old. cream colored cats, a calico female, a gray female and some tabby kittens aad tabby adults. In oar dog kennels, we have a male sharpe, some six month old heeler mixes, a border collie, and some shepherd mix puppies. Inventory changes daily so, if we don't have what your looking for today then try ns tomorrow. We take in a lot of cats throughout the year and adopt a lot of them to good homes. However, we rarely have the pleasure of reuniting a lost cat with it's owner. One of the reasons for this is that cats usually don't have collars with tags. Even though cat owners arc not required to license their cats, we feel that it is a good Idea to LD. cats. Aa I.D. tag is the easiest and surest way to let ns know that the cat we found belongs to yon. The shelter is located at 1745 5. Hoytsville Road in Wanship. If you need more specific directions, please call us. Shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday II am. until 3 p.m. For : change ' To hues of lickly green.
