Show Local SUP Chapter Welcomes State Group to Brighton Meet Members of the Sons of Utah Pioneers will gather at Brighton for their annual encampment beginning Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., at Alpine Rose Lodge in Brighton, according to George R. Biesinger, chairman. Sugar House chapter is host to the state organization. Dinner will be served at the lodge Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a campfire program at the Mt. Millicent camp area. Barbershop quartet singing, accordion ac-cordion music, campfire stories and community singing will be the order of the evening. Saturday morning's main attraction at-traction is a ski lift ride to Twin Lakes, where a box lunch will be served at noon. Annual Business Meeting A meeting to revise the state S. U. P. constitution will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. at the lodge. The annual business, meeting, including election of 1949-50 officers, will be "held from 2 to 5 p.m. Jesse P. Rich of Logan, state president, will preside. An outdoor barbecue is slated for 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Millicent Camp area, following fol-lowing which a campfire program pro-gram will be held. New officers will be introduced, story telling contest winners will be announced an-nounced and a drama, "A Brighton Incident," will be presented. Square dancing will follow the dramatic presentation. presenta-tion. ' Sunday's schedule includes f church services at 9:30 a.m. in Brighton's Mt. Millicent camp area; luncehon at 12:30 at Edge-mount Edge-mount Farm, 3000 Connor St. (2140 East)., in East Mill Creek; and a tour of the S. U. P. Museum Mu-seum at the same address. |
