Show Pioneer Days Celebration at Ogden The Pioneer Celebration at Ogden Og-den will open Sunday night, July 20, with a mammoth pageant production pro-duction depicting the hardships and victories of men and women who conquered frontiers all across the continent. This will be second In a series of pageants t0 be held during the annual Ogden festival until 1947, when they will be combined into a magnificent calvacade of the building of the west, and featured as Ogden's contribution to the Utah centennial celebration. The cast includes hundreds of men, women and children and lavish lav-ish costumes and a powerful illumination il-lumination system. Entitled "The Trail Breakers," the story deals with the westward trek of civilization civili-zation from the time of arrival of Columbus to the period of the Mormon Battalion. Rehearsals have been under way . since May of 1940, and co3U"ned TfS rehearsals have been going for- ' ward since February. The citv's best dramatic talent, headed by Mrs. Gladys Pratt Young. .1 lthor and director, has been thrown into the effort.
