In most ' instances the race was exceedingly close. The highest vote was polled for J. P, Christopherson, incumbent, to succeed suc-ceed himself as city recorder. I The new officials are as follows: mayor, Lars Nielsen, 540; four-year councilman, Arthur T. McKell, 401 ; two-year councilman, William Simmons, Sim-mons, 497, G. Ray Hales, 485, David Williams, 498 ; recorder, J. P. Christopherson, Chris-topherson, 580; treasurer, Mrs. Emma Em-ma Breams, 492. ' The defeated candidates received the following vote : for mayor, Albert Al-bert Edward Money, 382; four-year councilman, David E. Robertson, 437 ; two-year counciln(eni, Ajl R. Crecr, 418, N! P.
