Roberts Rob-erts of the Brigham Young university univer-sity has been granted a leave of ab- sence from the university for one year to enable him to become director direc-tor of the new Weber gymnasium at Ogden, according to university officials. His appointment and leave was confirmed nt a special faculty meeting held Monday. ' Coach Roberts leaves Tuesday for the east where he will attend a national na-tional convention for recreational directors in New Jersey early in October Oc-tober and then proceed to Boston where he will take a special course in recreational and gymnasium work before taking up his new position posi-tion at the Weber gymnasium, P. W. Jackson, superintendent of the blast furnaces c-f the Columbia Steel corporation wiil succeed Mr. Roberts on the coaching staff at the University. M. Jackson was captain cap-tain of the University of Chicago football team in 191C having played on t-ho varsity squad three ycaru.
