The-run this time is one the canning of fall apples. More than lOOMt bushels were canned this week and the run may last another an-other ten days. According to Manager Man-ager SI. K. Cranuall, Jr., the goods are already sold and will be shipped out soon after the canning is done. Last Saturday, Novomlter lo, was hte first pay day for beets t Ink season at the Springvilh'-Mapleton Sugar company, at which ( lino .$137,000 were paid to the farmers for beets of which three-fourths went, to the farmers of Springville and Mnplototv. The next payment. December 15, will distribute about .$4(1.000 more. The beets this year were sold on the sliding scale with $0 per ton nt delivery. The next payment will he in February and then each 3 months thereafter. The tonnage produced for the Springville-Mapleton plant Ibis year is about 27,000 tons which is about 2,500 tons less than last year, however, how-ever, the SprlngvilJe-Mapleton factory fac-tory according to capacity has the 1 largest tonnage of any factory in the slate of Ftali tliis year and is the only mill in I'talit county still running.
