"A great giver," Is the way President Presi-dent Harris characterized President Grant upon the receipt of the generous gen-erous gift. "His name is always among those giving to movements looking toward the uplift of humanity.' human-ity.' No other individual in the church has given away as many choice books as has President Gram. It is therefore. very fitting that his nam should head the list of d.-mus to a great repository of books." Among the other contributions received re-ceived at the office Tuesday was one from Dr. Adnm S. Bennin, superintendent super-intendent of church schools, in his letter transmitting his contribution. Dr. Bennion said: "I regard the privilege of putting choice books Into the hands of friends as one of the choice opportunities of life. I look forward to being able in the future to keep alive this little contribution as a sort of perpetual link with your institution." Checks are being received daily from alumni In all parts of the country. It Is planned to have the campaign completed by the time of the semi-centennial celebration and dedication of the new library building build-ing on October 15. 10, andl7. |
