This is the largest amount received in one day during the season. Manager M. E. Crandall, Jr., has been searching the town for more girls to help snip the beans as they are coming in faster than the present force can take care of them. There are now 170 girls and 30 men employed. (The beans for this season are all sold and being loaded on the cars for shipment as fast as they are canned. Most of the beans coming in to tile factory now are coming from the Spanish Fork district. A fire cased by a spark from the the threshing machine engine completely com-pletely destroyed a stuck of straw and some sacks of wheat, on South Mapleton Tuesday afteroon. The fire was on the farm of Joseph Jo-seph Allen. The threshing machine belonging to A. C. Hanson of Mapleton Maple-ton had just completed threshing for Mr. Allen mid was pulling away from the Job when . the fire was started. There was no further damage dam-age don.e Albert B.
