Temple Feb. 9 Highlighting social news of the week is the engagement engage-ment and approaching marriage of Miss Elaine Anderson, daughter of Mrs. Ellen Anderson of this city; and Art Child, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Child, also of Springville. The marriage is to take place on Wednesday, February Febru-ary 9, in the Salt Lake temple, and on the following evening eve-ning the newlyweds will receive their relatives and friends at a reception to be held in the Second ward church. Preceding their marriage, the popular young couple will be extensively entertained by relatives and friends who have numerous parties planned. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the Springville high school and attended the Brigham Young University two years, where she was active in scholastic and social affairs. Mr. Childs, affiliated with the local Jaycees, is also a Springville high school graduate. He served in the armed forces with the paratroopers for 18 months during World War II. J |
