CLUB MEMBERS ENJOY PARTY Mrs. Gwen Baxter was hostess to members of the Social Twelve club at a delightful evening's entertainment en-tertainment Thursday evening at her home. A tasty luncheon was served at small tables and contract bridge featured the entertainment. Prizes for the games were awarded to Mrs. Hazel Harrison and Mrs. Emma Rowland. AVE DELMA CLUB MEMBERS ENTERTAINED Mrs. Ann Johnson was hostess to members of the Ave Delma club at a delightful evening's entertainment enter-tainment Thursday. Cards and a nicely arranged luncheon were diversions. Mrs. Elsie Robinson and Mrs. Ruth Miller were special guests. Prizes for the games went to Mrs. Dolly Smith, Mrs. Vivian Smith and Mrs. Ruth Miller. The next meeting of the club was announced for this evening, Thursday, at the home of Mrs. Leona Allan. BUSY FINGER SEWING CIRCLE HAS MEETING Members of the Busy Finger Seding Circle met with Miss Alice Erickson on Thursday afternoon. President Joyce Sumsion gave a talk on health and the group sewed sew-ed on their aprons, with instructions instruc-tions by Mrs. Ann Johnson, leader. lead-er. Refreshments were served in conclusion and the next meeting announed for today at the home of Lorna Nelson. SAVE AND STITCH CLUB CONDUCTS MEETING , Members of the Save and Stitch 4-H club met at the home of Joyce Park, recently. The group sewed on their dresses dress-es and their leader, Mrs. Mary Kelly, gave a lesson on Courtesy. The next meeting was announced for Friday, to be held at the home of Thelma Tuttle. Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Mary Elvera Rust to Chief Petty Officer Ivy Gilbert Harper of North Carolina. The marriage took place on Wednesday, May 9, in the Salt Lake temple and was witnessed by immediate family members and close friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orson David Rust of this city. The bride chose for her wedding a white satin and georgette gown entrain. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion was fashioned with a headpiece bordered with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of lillies-of-the-valley and an orchid. Miss LaRue Weight was hostess hos-tess at a shower for the bride, and following the wedding the couple was honored with several parties given by relatives and friends.An uncle and aunt of the bride came from Los Angeles, Cal. for the wedding. The couple left recently for Annapolis, An-napolis, Md., where he is stationed as an instructor at the Naval Academy. C. P. O. Harper has served three years overseas. |
