Show cRgception Given For Young zMapleton Couple i Mr. and Mrs. Mack Holley of Mapleton, who were married last Wednesday in the Salt Lake temple, tem-ple, were honored with & wedding reception at the Mapleton amusement amuse-ment hall last evening. More than 200 relatives and friends attended. A program, featuring several musical numbers and readings, was under the direction of Harold Holley, master of ceremonies. The crowd also enjoyed dancing and refreshments. MOTHERS' STUDY CLUB HELD FIRST MEETING of the season Friday afternoon at the M. I. A. home in Provo canyon, can-yon, under the direction of President Presi-dent Gladys Boyer. A large indoor fireplace and the home beautifully decorated in the season's flowers, autumn leaves, and fern, was an appropriate setting for the initial program, which had been prepared prepar-ed by Mrs. Ella Reynolds and Mrs. Maude Thorn. For roll call, sentiments on autumn au-tumn were given. The club books were distributed by Mrs. Mae Huntington, Hun-tington, program chairman. Music for the afternoon consisted of community singing directed by Mrs. Philda Finley; a quartet, composed com-posed of Mrs. Finley, Mrs. Jessie Whitney, Mrs. Beth Barrett and Mrs. Gladys Boyer. Mrs. Malenda Sumsion gave the lesson on varied var-ied types of stories and poems with examples of each, which proved especially interesting. An original sketch by Mrs. Beth Barrett and a stunt directed by Mrs. Catherine Sumsion, were also enjoyed. At the close of the meeting a tasty luncheon was served. The sporadic advertiser is like the man who took his medicine three days and then forgot about it. |
