A lovely reception of the late summer seaeson was given Friday evening in the First ward amusement amuse-ment hall honoring Mr. and Mrs. Rex K. Stewart, who were married mar-ried early in the day in the Salt Lake temple. Mrs. Stewart, the former Thelma Thel-ma Graves, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Graves of this y, and Mr. Stewart is a son of Mrs. Wendell Stewart of Spanish Fork. The bride was charmingly gown-i gown-i in white brocade satin with fingertip veil caught to her head a coronet of seed pearis. Her ""liquet was of pink rosebuds and mite carnations. Emma Graves, sister of the was maid of honor, and ndesmaids were Mrs. Clyde "me, Mrs. 'Betty Lou Walker, "an Jean Stewart, and Loraine uaey. The attendants were attir ed in pastel-colored formals with corsages in corresponding colors. The hall was gorgeously decorated decor-ated for the occasion with a variety var-iety of late summer flowers. A delightful program furnished entertainment, following by dancing danc-ing and refreshments. Wilford Manwaring was master of ceremonies. cere-monies. The serving table was covered with a beautiful Irish linen cloth with a floral centerpiece representing repre-senting a ship and tall candelabra on either end to carry out an attractive at-tractive pink and white decorative color scheme. In charge of the refreshments were Gloria Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and Marian Poynor, assisted assist-ed by Elaine Stewart, Norma Wim-ber, Wim-ber, Jacqueline Poynor and Helen West. Norma Snelson and Ruth Hatfield were in charge of the gift room. |
