Show Ella Snow and Don Young Nuptial Plans Announced SOCIAL TWELVE CLUB HAS PARTY Mrs. Ed Johnson was hostess to the Social Twelve at her home Thursday night. From small tables a delicious luncheon was served early in the evening, after which progressive contract bridge was played. Each member received a prize and for high score Mrs. Harry Pennington Penning-ton was also awarded a prize. Twelve club members attended. The next club party will be held Thursday, January 30, at the home of Mrs. George Crandall. PAUL WALKER GUEST AT SURPRISE PARTY Grant elementary school teachers teach-ers and their partners surprised Paul Walker Thursday night at his home. During the evening "Progressive "Progres-sive Neighbor" was played, after which a delicious luncheon was served to sixteen guests. The group presented Mr. Walker Walk-er with a lovely gift. L. L. L. CLUB HAS PARTY SATURDAY XIGHT Miss La Rae Thorpe was hostess hos-tess to members of the L. L. L. club at her home Saturday night. Luncheon was served first, after af-ter which a variety of games were played by the following: Anita Palfreyman, Maurine Childs, Jane Wainwright, Dorothy Weight, Clara Bird, Mary Cameron, Almah Miner, Elaine Cherrington, Clara Binks, Guy Bird, Art Bird, John Strong, Bob Mendenhall, Junior Johnson, Roy Tew, Dean Allen, Elton Nielson, Lamar Crandall, and the hostess. w Mrs. Lillie Snow wishes to announce an-nounce the engagement of her daughter, Ella, to Don Young, with the marriage to take place Saturday, January 25, in Salt Lake City. A shower honoring the bride was given at the home of Mrs. Snow Tuesday evening. . Games were played, after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. The bride-to-be received many beautiful gifts during -the evening. eve-ning. The young couple plan to make their home in Springville. FIRST WARD BEEHIVE EXTERTAIXED WEDNESDAY Members of the First ward Beehive Bee-hive classes were entertained Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Paul K. Walker. The book of the reading course, "The Singing Tree," was reviewed during the evening in an interesting manner by Mrs. Howard How-ard Maycock. A vocal duet was also sung by Joyce Peirce and Shirley Peterson. In conclusion luncheon was served to thirty-two guests. PARAXADA CLUB MEMBERS HEAR BOOK REVIEW Mrs. Howard Thorpe reviewed the book, "Hildreth," by Howell Estes, in a very interesting manner man-ner at a meeting of the Paranada club Thursday evening at the home of Teddy Thorpe.
