Show Garden Reception Honors Couple i Miss Lorraine Mendenhall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Mendenhall of Mapleton became the bride of Dave DeYoung, son of Mrs. Catherine DeYoung Sof Salt Lake City on June 11. Immediately after the wedding ceremony, the young couple was honored With a reception in the garden of the Mendenhall home, where a program was given and refreshments served. The bride was prettily attired in a white slipper satirt wedding gown entrain. Her f inger-tip veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms blos-soms and she carried a bouquet of pink daisies in the shape of an anchor. Miss Bee Mendenhall attended the bride. She wore a igown of yellow yel-low taffetta with corsage of rosebuds. rose-buds. Joe DeYoung of Salt Lake City, was best man for his brother. bro-ther. Also assisting with the receiving receiv-ing line of guests were parents of the bride and gTOom. Mrs. Men-denhaU Men-denhaU wore black crepe for her daughters wedding and Mrs. De-Young De-Young chose aqua blue. Their corsages cor-sages were . white rose-buds and sweet-peas respectively. From- small tables, centered with 'roses, refreshments were served by Coleen Hansen, Mrs. Dean Cook, Mildred Johnson and Mrs. Norma Adamson. Arranging the gifts were Mrs. Gwen Mehr of Jackson, Wyo., and Mrs. Mozel Braithwaite of Ogden. Miss Thora Whiting entertained during the evening with, vocal solos. The bride is a graduate of the Springville high school and Kolob stake Seminary and is a former student of the Brigham Young University. Mr. DeYoung is a student of the University of Utah. After a honeymoon at Sun Valley, he will take !his bride to Salt Lake City where they will reside. |
