Show J1 omeReceptiori Honors Couple Wed( h Salt Lake City Temple Rites June 8 to- In a lovely home reception at the residence of I late Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mendenhall, newlyweds . ;ind Mrs. Taul W. Allan greeted a lare-e pvnwrf -of relatives and friends on Tuesday Tues-day evening of last week. Married June 8, in the Salt Lake lemple. the couple spent a few days honeymoon in Yellowstone before their reception. The bride formerly Miss Lynette Madsen, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Madsen and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Allen. Gowned in a charming creation of white taffeta with white sheer lace yoke, bustle back and long train, the bride made a pretty picture. pic-ture. Her full length veil of silk net with lace edging fell from a crown fashioned with lace and in which was arranged cut carnations carna-tions and stephanotis. Her bridal bouquet was of matching flowers, carnations, stephanotis with satin ribbon streamers. Her attendants Included Mrs. Shirley Diamond, a sister-in-law, as matron of honor. Beverly Child and Mary Mendenhall of Richfield were bridesmaids. They were attired at-tired in pink and blue formals and held nosegays - in corresponding colors. Little Linda Child was fol-wer fol-wer girl and Norman Dunn acted as best man. Parents of the bride and groom were also in the receiving line. Mrs. Madsen chose a blue formal for the occasion and Mrs. Allan was attired in black. Acting as host and hostess at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Hoover, with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Child assisting with the receiving re-ceiving of guests. Mrs. Deal Mendenhall Men-denhall was in charge of the guest book and also arranged the beautiful beau-tiful floral and candelabra decorations deco-rations about the entertaining rooms. During the reception, Mrs. Alberta Al-berta Hoover and Tom Mendenhall Menden-hall of Richfield entertained with vocal music. The gift room was under direction direc-tion of Mrs. Odessa Child and Mrs. Bess Mendenhall and Mrs, Olive Bray were in charge of the trou-seau trou-seau room. Serving was by girl friends of the bride including: Margene Porter, Por-ter, Elaine Ashcraft, Nancy Salisbury, Salis-bury, of Salt Lake, Bonnie Lee, Arlea Wilson, Mary Ellen Mendenhall, Menden-hall, Maxine Tonks and Marilyn Parry. Decorative details for the entire wedding were in pink and white with a profusion of roses and or- ange blossoms used throughout. The couple are making their home in Provo .where Paul plans to continue his studies at the Brigham Young University.' |
