Bradford Couple Quietly Observe 58 Years, of Wedded Life at Home of Son Here Well known Springville and Spanish Fork resi dents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Bradford, parents of R. W. and J. J. Bradford of this city, today are observing their 58th wedding anniversary. They are presently making their home with the Ross W. Bradfords of this city. The couple plan a quiet observance of the day with visits from members of their family and other relatives and friends. Married in the Manti LDS Temple. March 22. 1893, Mr. and Mrs. Bradford are parents of 10 sons and daughters with four living. liv-ing. Besides R. W. and J. J. Bradford of Springville, there are Mrs. Victor Leifson of Spanish Fork and Mrs. R. N. Peterson of Logan. There are 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Both Mr. and Mrs. Bradford are natives of Spanish Fork and lived there most of their lives. They still own their own home there but for the past few years have visited with their children. Mrs. Bradford is 83 and her husband 81. Mr. Bradford is a retired stockman and farmer. In early days, he delivered flour to Springville and became well acquainted with many older fomilies. During his early married life, he went on a mission to the Hawaiian Islands. His wife and four children remained at home and she did the farm work and took care of the little family during his four-year mission service. Mrs. Bradford was the former Hannah Jex and her parents were the original owners of the Lumber Company in Spanish Fork by that name. She too has always been active in church affairs and took special pride in her home and community. |
