Jphnson, nee Beverly Child Honeymoon In Yellowstone Park Follows Pretty Home Wedding Rites One of the prettiest of June weddings was tkat of Miss Beverly Child and Richard M. Johnson who exchanged marriage vows in . a ceremony conducted by Bishop V. C. Mendenhall of the Third ward, uncle of the bride, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orvile Child. Immediate members of the two families witnessed the ceremony. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Johnson also of SpringviUe. For her marriage, the bride chose a dainty afternoon gown of pale blue organdy, with corsage of gardenias and carnations. Her attendants were Mrs. Colin Delahuncy, sister-in-law of Boise, Idaho and Carolyn and Linday Child, sisters, all of whom were in afternoon attire. Mr. Delah uncy did be'st man duties for his brother-inlaw. After the marriage ceremony, the couple was honored with a wedding dinner at the Child home for members of the wedding party and the two families. The newlyweds later left on a 10-day honeymoon trip to Yellowstone Parle. Saturday evening, they were complimented at an informal in-formal wedding reception attended by a large group of relatives. rela-tives. An entertaining program was given in which Russell Hales showed slides of a wedding in Czechoslavalda. Also Mrs. Alberta Hoover gave vocal numbers, accompanied by Mrs. Bess Mendenhall. Tom Mendenhall of Richfield gave vocal solos, accompanied by Mrs. Alberta Hoover; Betty Ann Hoover rendered violin numbers, accompanied by her mother and Mary Ann Murdock gave vocal numbers. At the close of the entertainment, the family members went with the couple to see their new home on North Main street. Another social function which honored the bride, was the shower given by Mrs. George Adams and Mrs. Wood-row Wood-row Winters in the form of a lawn party at the Adams home. A variety of games was climaxed with a delicious buffet luncheon enjoyed by a number of neighbors and other friends. |
