Show Mr., Mrs. LaVar C. Nelson Making Home Here after Wedding Trip . Making their home in Springville following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Boulder and the canyons in Southern Utah, are newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar C. Nelson. Mrs. Nelson, formerly Ellen Lo-back, Lo-back, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl C. Loback of this city and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wray Nelson also of Springville. The couple exchanged vows at the home of the bride-groom's parents, par-ents, with Bishop Bert Strong of the Sixth ward officiating. Witnessing Wit-nessing the rites were close relatives rela-tives and friends of the couple. Later in the evening, the couple received their many friends and relatives at a reception in the Ko-lob Ko-lob Stake House. The bride was radient in a lace and nylon net gown with long pointed sleeves, high neck and tiny stand-up collar. Her veil of bride's illusion fell from a lace Juliet cap. She carried a bouquet fashioned of orchids. Attending her were her sister, Mrs- Trysa Butler as matron of honor,- and Carol Bray, Ruth Gardner, Mary Nell Hall, La-Rae La-Rae Nelson and Melva Loback as bridesmaids. They wore frocks in pastel colors and carried tiny bouquets bou-quets in matching colors. Parents of the, bride and bridegroom bride-groom were also in the receiving line, with Mrs. Laback in an afternoon after-noon dress of cinnamon brown and Mrs. Nelson one of soft blue. Both wore corsages of roses. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Porter greeted the guests at the door and Mrs. Carol Loveless was in charge of the bride's book. Gifts were received by Elaine Parry, Joy Widdison, and Alice Ann Porter and were arranged for display by Mr. Sherman Nielson, Mrs. Carl Peterson and Maxine Nielson. Highlight of the serving room was the prettily decorated three-tiered three-tiered wedding cake displayed on a lace covered table. Guests were served at small tables by Connie Loback, Sherel Nelson, Sheila Averett, Beverly Mason, Patricia Taylor, Marilyn Thorpe, Donna Lee, Leah May Averett, all dressed in ballerina evening gowns of varied var-ied hues. Supervising the serving was Mrs. Ed Averett, Mrs. Warren Parry, Mrs. Clyde Gourley, Mrs-James Mrs-James Baker. A program concluded the evening eve-ning with Bert Strong as master of ceremonies. Ann Merie -Fry, Doreen Scouten, and Janice Sargent Sarg-ent sang in a vocal trio, Joan Marsh gave a reading, Mrs. Ernest Boyer and Kay Weight sang vocal solos, Mrs. Warren Tonks favored with piano selections, and Melva Loback played a harmcnica. During the reception Mrs. Tonks also played organ music. |
