Show j Alice Ann Waters Alice B. Waters dies at 93; services held Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Wheeler Mortuary Mor-tuary Chapel for Alice Ann Brindley Waters, 93, long time Mapleton resident, who died at an Orem rest home September 6, 1969 of causes incident to age. Bishop Delbert Warner of the Provo Rivergrove First Ward conducted the services. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Waters' Wa-ters' services were held on her 94th birthday. She was born September 9, 1875 at Red Rock, Oneida County, Idaho, the daughter of George and Jane Shutt Brind-ley. Brind-ley. She came to Utah as a child and settled with her parents in Sevier County where she spent her childhood. She married Parley Par-ley Afton Waters, November 16, 1898 in the Manti LDS Temple. Tem-ple. He died September 10, 1938. Most of her life was spent in Mapleton where she moved in 1900 and resided until moving mov-ing to Provo in 1965 to make hei home. An active member of the LDS Church, she held several sev-eral positions in the auxiliary organizations, serving as a member of the YWMIA presidency, presi-dency, a life-long Sunday School and Relief Society teacher teach-er and visiting teacher, until she retired recently. Her hobbies hob-bies included needlework, quilt making and dress making. Survivors include two sons, Carrel A. Waters and Howard Waters, both of Springville; eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a brother, James Brindley Koosharem. |
