Show Funeral services today for Ena G. Garrick Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 12:30 p.m. at the Wheeler Mortuary, for Mrs. Ena Gudmundsen Car-rick, Car-rick, 91, who died Monday, July 11, 1966 at a Provo rest home of ailments incident to age. Friends may call at Wheeler Mortuary before the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Carrick was born Dec. 29, 1874, in Vestamanaer, Iceland, Ice-land, a daughter of Gudmund and Johanna Halvarson Gudmundsen. Gud-mundsen. She was married to John James Carrick in 1895 in Winter Quarters, Carbon County. Mr. Carrick died in 1941. Mrs. Carrick came to Utah from Iceland via England alone at the age of 13 to join her family, which had come a year i earlier. She worked in the old ! Spanish Fork nioneer shoe store, and at the stage coach station in Carbon County before be-fore moving to Winter Quarters. Quar-ters. Following her marriage, she lived for a time in Alberta, Canada, before moving to Ma-pleton. Ma-pleton. . Mrs. Carrick was loved and respected for her skill as a practical nurse. She had assisted assis-ted local doctors in the delivery deliv-ery of over 250 babies. She was active in LDS Church work Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. James (Isabell) Nielson of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Leo (Helen) Marshbanks of Orem; Mrs. Thomas L. (Hannah) Cal-ister Cal-ister of Spanish Fork; and Mrs. Sylvester (Florence) Allen of Mapleton; 26 grandchildren; 109 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. ; ; J ' ' i v .b .
