Show FUNERAL HELD WED. FOR MRS. J. E SMITH Mrs. Jeanette Evans Smith, 72, died Sunday at the home of a sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Mary Marsh, at Maple-ton Maple-ton where she had been visiting for about a month. Mrs. Smith was born in Hawaiian Hawai-ian South Wales, May 25, 1873, a daughter of Richard E. and N. Harris Evans. She was married to Richard Smith on Dec. 1, 1890, and the early part of their married mar-ried life they spent at Schofield, later moving to Rock Springs, Wyoming. Mr. Smith died Oct. 24, 1934. ' Survivors include seven sons and daughters, Richard and Jim Smith, Salt Lake City; Tim Smith, Oakland, Calif.; Clarence "Smit-ty" "Smit-ty" Smith, Springville; Joe Smith, a prisoner of the Japs; Mrs. Kate Anderson, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Mrs. Jeanette Moliton, Milford; also twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, broth-er, Tim Evans, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Moran, Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Mary Marsh, Mapleton. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Wednesday at 2 p. m., in the Spanish Fork Third ward chapel. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by the Claudin funeral home. |
