Show FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN SALT LAKE CITY Byard W. Mendenhall, 65, of Salt Lake City, a former resident of Springville, died Saturday at a Salt Lake hospital following a short illness. He was born in Springville Dec. 18, 1878, a son of Thomas L. and Mary Deal Mendenhall, and spent his early life here. He attended the B. Y. U. and in 1902, was graduated graduat-ed from the Massachusetts Institute Insti-tute of Technology. He went to Salt Lake City in 1907, and had been prominently identified there in civic, L. D. S. church, and business busi-ness enterprises. He is survived by his widow, the former Luella Spence, two sons and a daughter also two sisters, Mrs. Mary Oakes and Arlene Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Springville Berne Mendenhall, Men-denhall, Salt Lake, and two grand children. Funeral services were conducted at the Capitol ward in Salt Lake City. Among those who attended from Springville were : Mrs. Mary Oakes and son Tommy, Arlene Mendenhall, Menden-hall, Mrs. G. W.
