Show FATHER OF LOCAL RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA Word was received here last week of the death of Lee Metcalf, 58, a native of Springville and the father of Mrs. Leo Felix, in a hospital hos-pital in Redlands, Calif. Death was due to complications following follow-ing an appendicitis operation. He was born in Springville, the son of L. Gregg and Margaret Llewellyn Metcalf, and spent his early life here. He had lived in California about fifteen years, going go-ing there from Richfield, Idaho. He was working in the Navy shipyards ship-yards at Berkeley, Calif. Survivors include his widow, the former Lucy Warren of Mapleton; eleven sons and daughters, Grant, Gregg, Monte and Max Metcalf, all in the armed forces; Mrs. Leo. Felix, Springville, Jane of Salt Lake City, Clarice, Helen, Blaine and Warren Metcalf of Berkeley; his mother, who went to California recently; six brothers and sisters, Frank Metcalf, Springville; Earl and Bert Metcalf of Richmond, Calif.; Mrs. Hazel Robertson and Mrs. Lou Palfreyman of Provo; Mrs. Mae Gudmundson, Redlands, Calif. Funeral services and burial will be held in California. |
