Show Fisneral Services Friday for Mrs. Ellen Giles Funeral services for Ellen Biggs Teasdale Giles, 56, will be conducted con-ducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Mrs. Ellen Giles Springville Third - Ninth Ward chapel, Bishop W. Cornell Menden-hall Menden-hall officiating. Mrs. Giles died at the family residence Tuesday evening of a heart attack. She was born in Garndiffaith, Monmouthshire, South Wales, on February 14, 1895, a daughter of Thomas and Emily Carey Biggs. She came to this country in 1910 at the age of 15 years with her family who settled in Winterquar-ter, Winterquar-ter, Utah. She was married to Wm. Henry Teasdale, June 10, 1915 in the Salt Lake Temple. She later moved to Springville where she met and married J. Albert Giles in the Salt Lake Temple. Tem-ple. They had four sons born to them. She has reared ten children chil-dren altogether. Four by the first marriage, four by the second marriage and two of her second husband's' children. She has been active in the church all her life serving as Relief Society Soc-iety block teacher and secretary and at the time of her death was the magazine agent for the Relief Re-lief Society. She was also a member mem-ber of the American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary and had served in several offices. Survivors include her husband, and the following children: Mrs. John M. (Amy) Murdock; Mrs. Harold P. (Edith) Miner; Mrs. Dwight (Bernice) Bartholomew; Melvin J. Teasdale; Mrs. James L. (Ruth) Diamond; Mr. Wilbert Giles; Earl Giles, Kenneth Giles, Max Giles and Richard Marlin Giles. Also the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Biggs, Sco-field, Sco-field, Utah; Mrs. Ethel Tays, Price, Mrs. Florence Pace, Price; Mrs. Beryl Wood and Mrs. Iris Matthews, Kenilworth, Utah. She is also survived by her father, Thomas Biggs Sr., of Price; 13 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the residence, 360 West 1st North, Friday prior to the services. Burial will be in the Springville Evergreen cemetery ceme-tery under the direction of Wheeler Wheel-er and Son Mortuary. |
