Show Former Resident Of Springville Dies in Calif. Word of the death of Zella Brown Lyman, 71, former Springville Spring-ville resident, who died of a cerebral cereb-ral hemorrhage Sunday evening in San Bernardino, Calif., was receivi-ed receivi-ed Monday by her brother, John Milton Brown, Provo. Mrs. Lyman was born July 141, 1882, the daughter of Thomas A. and Zillah Allan Brown at Springville. Spring-ville. She received her education in Springville. She was married to J. C. Lyman on October 26, 1908, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they' moved to Salt Lake City about 1918. They moved to San Bernardino eight years ago. Her husband died just two years ago. Mrs. Lyman was well-known for her singing. She often sang with her sister, Mattie, at public gatherings ga-therings here. She was active in the LDS church, holding different differ-ent offices in the various organizations. organiza-tions. She had visited in Springville on Memorial Day greeting many old friends and acquaintances. She is survived by three daughters,, daugh-ters,, all of California; one brother and , three sisters, John Milton Brown. Provo: Emma Rhodes. Salt Lake City; Flora Herder, Alham-bra, Alham-bra, Calif.; and Bessie Freidel, Los Angeles; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at San Bernardino. |
