Show Graveside rites held here Graveside services will be held Friday, May 13 at 2 p.m. at the City cemetery for Geo. Newman Whitmore, 71, who died Sunday in a Mesa, Arizona Ari-zona hospital following a prolonged pro-longed illness. Friends and relatives may call at the Wheeler Mortuary from 12 noon until time of services. Other services were held in the Mesa 1st ward chapel cha-pel Wednesday, with Paul Crandall of the bishopric presiding. A native of Springville, Mr. Whitmore was born here Aug. 18, 1888, son of Franklin Peery and Celestia Bulkley Whitmore. He attended schools here and later followed farming farm-ing prior to going to Arizona some 14 years ago due to his health. During the time he was in Arizona he lived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max B. Cox, formerly of Fairview. He was active in the LDS church until un-til he became seriously ill a year ago. Mr. Whitmore never married. He is survived by two brothers, broth-ers, George of Springville, and Frank of Neola, Utah. |
