Show Mrs. Augusta Erdmann To Celebrate birthday A Wash.; Mrs. Elias Harmer and Clarence Erdmann, Springville; Mrs. H. B. Alleman and William Erdmann, Midvale; also 17 grandchildren grand-children and 8 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Augusta Earthman Erdmann, Erd-mann, widow of William Erdmann, and one of the oldest residents of this city, will celebrate her 85th birthday on Friday at her residence, resi-dence, Third South and First East streets. In her honor, a family dinner din-ner will be given at her home and her many friends and neighbors are invited to call at any time during the day. Mrs. Erdmann was born at Niagara Nia-gara county, N. Y., September i, 1857. When she was seven years old, her parents moved to Danby, Mich., where she grew to womanhood woman-hood and was married in 1875. With her husband and family, she came to Springville in 1898. The family were converts to the L. D. S. clfurch and had previously made a trip west, settling in Brig-ham Brig-ham City and then returning to their native state for a period of two years. Mr. Erdmann operated a retail grocery store in this city for a time. He died in 1901. Mrs. Erdmann has always been active in church work, especially in her earlier life when she served in the Primary presidency and was also a Relief society teacher for many years. She is especially active for her age. doing her own housework and walks to town to do her shopping. She has five sons and daughters: daugh-ters: M. W. Erdmann of Kent, |
