Show MRS. MARY WOOD OBSERVES 85th BIRTHDAY In observance of her eighty-fifth eighty-fifth birthday, Mrs. Mary Pierce Wood, one of Springville's oldest pioneers, celebrated the event Thursday at the home of her brother, bro-ther, Andrew Pierce. She was born January 16, 1856, a daughter of James Madison and Mary Ann Bowman Pierce. She came to Utah with her parents in 1858 and has lived here most of her life. She was married to Lyman Garland Gar-land Wood in 1883, in the Endowment Endow-ment House, Salt Lake City. After his death she was married to Llewellyn DalTin, who also died a number of years ago. She Is the mother of six sons and daughters, Mrs. Lucy Johnson of Manti, Mrs. Hannah Taylor and Solon A. Wood of Springville, Del Wood of Helper, L. Stephen Wood of Salt Lake City, and Dean Dal-lin Dal-lin of Ogden. Thirty-seven grandchildren grand-children also survive. , |
