Show lJewd FloteS . . . Vern Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maeser Young left recently for Cary, 111., where he is emnloyed with the Northwood Fur Farms, one of the largest of its kind in the country. Vern had had considerable consid-erable exDerience in the mink fur . ; Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Jessee were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Crawford of Newfoundland. Mrs. Orchard and Mrs. Jessee are sisters. The Orchards Or-chards are making their home in Provo, where Mr. Orchard is teaching teach-ing at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller returned re-turned the latter part of last week from San Francisco where Mr. Miller Mil-ler attended a meeting of Chamber executives. Mrs. Maurice Birl and Mrs. Ike Palfreyman were in Heber City Saturday to attend an annual dinner din-ner for high school class mates, held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Karl O. Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Alleman and daughters Karen and Linda have returned from an enjoyable vacation trip to Colorado and New Mexico. They toured the Rocky Mountain National Park' and stopped also in Denver. Pikes Peak, the Royal Gorge proved interesting in-teresting as did their stay in Santa San-ta Fe, N. M. They returned by way of Mesa Verde National Park in time for Karen to enroll in her junior year at the BYU. 1 x Dr. and Mrs. Richard K. Miner (Helen Clegg) and four children are visiting here this week from their home in Seattle, Wash., guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walace Clegg and Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Miner. They came also to attend general ' conference in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Diamond, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Palfreyman, Lionel Averett and grandson Verl Burt of Salt Lake City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Averett at his ranch in Hobble Creek canyon over the weekend. The time was spent visiting, horseback riding, shooting and eating. business before leaving Springville having worked with his father. His parents went with him as far as Yuma, Colo., where they visited with relatives. Miss Mary Boyer has resumed her beauty operation work here after af-ter being awav about eight months part of the time in the LDS hospital. hos-pital. She also spent some time in Arizona, going down with a nephew, Boyer Jarvis. who was attending at-tending Northwestern Uinversity and visiting her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jarvis. 1 Mrs. Joseph Jarvis spent a few days of the past week with her sister Mary Boyer in Springville coming from her home in Mesa. Arizona, also to attend general conference in Salt Lake City. Orville Roylance had as his p-uest over the weekend, Donald Evans of Lake Shore. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gardner had as their guests last week their daughter Mrs. Max Clegg, the former for-mer Verla Gardner. While she was here she gave a birthdav partv for her five vear-olcT son Donald and invited seventeen little friends and neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Garrett had as their guests last week. Mrs. Garrett's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Stephenson of Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Averett received word early ' last week of the arrival of a new grandson, born to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Wor-sencroft Wor-sencroft of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Worsencroft is the former Carmen Hutchings. Mrs. Walter F. Johnson (Lucille Crandall) visited recently in Denver Den-ver with her husband who is employed em-ployed as a salesman there. The Johnsons are building a new home about 30 miles from Denver and Lucille plans to go there as soon as it is completed about the middle mid-dle of this month. Viisting recently at the home of |
