Show LOCAL WOMEN ! CAPTURE 1926 CONVENTION Eleven delegates from the Provo v chapter of the Business and Professional Profes-sional Women's club attended the state convention at Logan .Saturday, Sunday and Monday and were successful suc-cessful in capturing the 1H26 convention, conven-tion, according to members of the local club. The Provo girls did a stunt dressed as steel workers and regalia and each performer carried a steel emblem designed for the occasion by the Columbia Steel corporation. Thy local girls reiwrt having had a splendid time. They were particularly partic-ularly inspired with Miss Adella Prichard's address. There were present at the state convention upwards of 150 women from all parts of the state and also from southern Idaho. The Ogden club won the stunt honors nnd also the prize for the best original song. The officers for the ensuing year arc as follows : Mrs. B. Blanche Pitt-man, Pitt-man, Logan, president ; Miss Ruby Smith, Provo, vice president; Miss Delia Fanner, Ogden, secretary and Miss Blanche Kimball, Salt Lake City, treasurer. |
