Many students in this program will pursue a building construction profession. MATC was founded in 1991 to teach vocational skills; today MATC is established to offer associate degree training. It is one of the largest of the UCAT campuses and responds to the needs of approximately 10,000 individuals annually. The MATC provides a comprehensive curriculum of technical training, adult basic education and continuing edu- cation, as well as customized employee training. Within the three counties; MATC serves the 19-high schools in Alpine, Nebo, Provo, Wasatch, Park City, North Summit and South Summit School Districts. Spanish Oaks Courtesy photos WALKING THE WALK: Walk to school day was sponsored by the Spanish Oaks PTA on Sept. 6. To help promote healthy lifestyles and school safety students walked to school. They were greeted by a PTA member who provided them with a green ribbon and reward for following the safety rules. Students who rode the bus or arrived in cars also got to participate by walking around the school playground. Thanks to the PTA and all the students who participated in this activity and remembered to "Stop! Look! Listen! Think!" as they walked to school.
