They also beat Ben Lomond 5-0, Waterford 3-2 and Snow Canyon 3-2. Winners were Rachel Reid, Kelley Argyle and the first doubles team of Danielle Jones/Alex Argyle. Not to be outdone by the faculty and staff, 12 boys from the SFHS track team also ran in the Ragnar Relay in June. The boys who participated were: Vallan Sherrod, Justin Sly, Brandon Poulter, Spencer Vance, Nolan Haycock, David Nester, Sam Roberts, Tucker Pinder, Dustin Johnson, Tyler Gebert, Caleb Prior and Justin Crandall. The boys ran about 112 miles, starting late afternoon on Friday. They ran relay legs of §ve to eight miles before handing off to another runner. At night, they had to wear head lamps and reflective vests while they ran. Mr. Albright and Mr. Boyack followed the runners in vans. Each of them had six boys per van. The boys ran two legs each for a total of 10-12 miles. The race was ended in Park City around 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. The SFHS boys track team finished third in the high school division and seventh among the 300 or so teams overall. As the boys ran, they kept track of the number of runners they passed., Each runner kept a tally and when they got back in the van they would give a number of "kills," and put the tally on their shoulders or backs with a marking pen. The grand total was over 300 "kills," or runners passed. One of the boys had over 30 kills on a particular leg. Another highlight was Justin Crandall passing xhe faculty team. Even though the faculty had a head start, the boys passed them early on. They said the hardest part of the entire race was keeping Mr. Boyack and Mr. Albright awake all night. It's looking like it never happened. First, I want to thank Robarge for the concern they have about their customers and their feelings about the work they performed. It is nice nowadays that there are some businesses that take pride Namon Bills / Spanish Fork News in giving genuine service. I was very pleased with the job that they did on our Equinox. SAM'S PREP OF T H E W E E K Clay Kerecman It is now like it should be — looking like it never happened. The workmanship of the repair is above reproach. Thanks for a job well done. - Football • Senior • Safety Clay Kerecman is the son of Patty and Paul Liston of Spanish Fork. The senior defender played a big role in the Dons' Homecoming win over Hunter. With Spanish Fork trailing 27-30 in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Kerecman recovered an onside kick to set up the winning score. He then intercepted a Wolverine pass, ending Hunter's lastditch effort to win the game. Ed Van Leeuwen, Salem Exceptional Care, Collision Repair Sponsored by the Oil Change Respectfully, 552 K.
