They have set up governing boards and have packed them with bureaucrats, unelected blood suckers who are not accountable to the American people. Through NAFTA and other ongoing trade agreements, they are controlling, penalizing, and in short destroying the sovereignty of America and making us slaves of the North American Union. If America means more to you than life itself, please go to www.jbs. org and read about this Trojan horse that is being touted as the savior of our economy and country. Don't be fooled by the Slick Willies in Washington. The Constitution of the United States means nothing to them. It is a road block to their plans for conquest. Allan Hales Salem Expressing concern Dear City Counciimen and Mayor, We, as citizens of Spanish Fork, wish to voice our concerns about the removal of North Park. We understand the economic benefits of bringing businesses and revenue into the city. However, our concerns are with the citizens, their displacement, the loss of beauty and the loss of the use and recreation of the park. We realize the issue is out of our hands as of now. However, it is an example of the lack of citizen voice in our community and hope that the government will realize that they are for the people and listen to the people in the future. It only took a few days to strip the North Park down to its underwear. Before long, it will be naked. Then the park is going on a diet to become smaller. It will move to a new location in the same area and get new, modern apparel. Rather than use city employees to pay someone, they attached the word "free" and let the citizens perform the demolition. Good thinking. It was a win-win for everyone. Some folks took advantage of this freebie, helping themselves to move than just sod and fencing. Shame on them. I personally don't like the new location or access to the park, but what do I know? C.C. Berrett |
