The Spanish Fork High Drill Team did an exceptional job at hitting every one of their dances the best they could. There were many schools competing and some great talent to watch. Several members of this year's Spanish Fork High School drill team have been honored with outstanding awards. Three girls on drill team were selected as AllRegion Team members, an award given for outstanding performance, dedication and teamwork. Most of Spanish Fork High School Students placed in multiple categories. In Business Communications and Personal Finance, it was a near clean sweep in each category. Sharisa Nay and Joy Prior each placed first in two different categories. Joy Prior also placed 5th in Business Communication, and Sharisa Nay placed 5th in Business Calculations. The Air Gyro services the planes and shows how they fly. The Gyro plane is a special plane that is part airplane, part helicopter. Michael plans to keep working toward this career goal and wants to attend the Air Gyro flight school offered by the Spanish Fork Airport. Lundell to compete in national level of essay contest Kaydee O'Brien SFHS Ryan Lundell is a finalist for the Letter to the Author award. There are 4 levels, and he has made it all the way to the 3rd level which is State. The final level is Nationals. When Ryan found out about his victory, he said he was "shocked and surprised!" The author he wrote about was Carol Lynn Pearson on the book Ryan Lundell 'The Lesson." With only 17 people re- wins the award!" SFHS Ashley Baadsgaard Senior Ashley Baadsgaard is the daughter of Ross and Janene Baadsgaard. She maintains a 3.98 GPA and her favorite classes include seminary and AP Biology. She's a member of Encore, Concert Choir and NHS. Ashley teaches piano lessons and enjoys running, being outdoors and spending time with family. On a road trip she would go to the East Coast to visit historic sites and would listen to classical music. KEMENTAKY Torrie Grant Park Elementary Torrie Grant, a 6th grader at Park Klcmentary is a great, hard working student. She is a good Iricnd and ha* a lilly. outgoing personality. She enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and drawing. She likes soccer, lonnis, basketball, and track. There are seven people in her family, and Torrie is right in the middle of four brothers. Torrie enjoys reading and has blown her school reading requirements out of the walcr by reading about an hour a night, and a total of 1752 minutes For the month of January alone. She likes reading mysteries and her I favorite book is Wait Till Helen Comes. She has a pet dog, hamster, nnd rabbit and cnjoy.s raising and showing pigs and •cp f o r 4 - H stock shows.
