Hunter was able to get two runners on base in the top of the sixth but the Wolverine threat was stopped by a great diving catch by Spanish Fork catcher Tina Ferguson on a ball popped up in front of home plate. Trailing by one, the first two Spanish Fork batters grounded out to lead off the bottom of the sixth. Tina Ferguson and Ashley Chappel worked the Hunter pitcher for two walks, placing the tying run at second base. I would like to invite all of are neighbors and customers to come get acquainted with the new management staff at Barber Brothers. For over 23 years now we've been selling and servicing our customers, and giving backto the community which supports our families. No you don't need to drive to Provo, or Idaho, or even leave town. Why not spend your hard earned dollars at the dealership that supports wind blowing in from right field as junior Katelyn Elliott hit a high fly ball to right center field that neither Hunter outfielder could reach. The RBI single tied the game at 4-4 and moved the go ahead run to third base. With first base open. Hunter elected to walk Holm, who hit a home run her previous at bat, loading the bases for Tingcy. Aly came through for the Dons looping a ball over the first baseman's head which the Wolverine second baseman could not handle cleanly. Chappel scored from third giving the Dons their first lead of the game at 5-4. In the top of the seventh the Hunter lead off batter reached base on an infield single. Spanish Fork quickly erased the Wolverine runner with a pick off play deserving of a patent. The Lady Dons have pulled this play off dozens of times but it continues to fool opposing teams, especially everything in your hometown, and will be here for service when you need it. If you haven't been able to make a deal in the past, 1 assureyou thatwill notbethe case now I have instructed my new management team that if you are from our surrounding towns, you will receive the best deal you ever thought possible. I am dedicated to winningyou back to your hometown dealership, that is so far ahead of all the others in tight situations. The Dons used the same play earlier this season to pick off a Springville runner in a tight 7-5 victory. Coach Andrews signaled the play from the dugout. Robinson's responsibility was to pitch the ball on the first base side while Thurgood at first base sold the play by moving toward home plate. Ashley Chappel at second came in behind the runner and before she knew what had happened catcher Tina Ferguson fired a strike to Chappel picking her off at first. The pick off switched momentum back to the Dons as they retired the next two batters for a 5-4 come from behind victory. Robinson picked up the win going all seven innings giving up four runs on live hits. The victory moves the Dons record to 13-0. Coach Andrews was impressed with the comeback. Despite trailing by four runs the Lady Dons never gave up and fought back for the 5-4 victory. Covering what t?iatters most Lady Dons golf: From GOLF • B2 Sorenstams of Utah reach a childhood dream of playing competitive golf while in school. This year's team has 12 players and most of them will begin their first year of match-play in tournaments throughout the state. Coach Nelson mentioned that only eight girls will be selected to participate in tournaments (including region) and just six girls per school can qualify for the state tournament. Before the change, golf was always recognized as a co-ed sport even though few girls ever tried out. But over the years, most schools have had one or two girls on their team. Today, at least 10 extra Lady Dons will have the chance to play the great game of golf. Being a first year coach with quality experience under John Bingham will certainly aid Nelson in his quest to get the ball rolling towards success, "I've got experience and 1 can see how the programs are run," he said. "I've seen how the tournaments are run and how to help the team in practice everyday. Mostly, that experience just helps me know what needs to be done/' With a little inclement weather in weeks past, the girls' team has put in a good days practice indoors and outdoors. Nelson said they've been able to putt, chip and hit range balls even if a little snow needed to be removed. With stormy weather such as heavy snowfall, the team has been able to use a gym to hit into a net. With hard work and the right mental attitude, the girls' golf team could turn some heads as they head into a league of their own. Girls golf schedule April 9, Gladstan, 3 pjn. I don't need a red phone in my dealerships ... I am here! I don't need to start bending over backwards ... we always have. If you think that you can drive to another state or another town and get a better deal, come see me personally. I am sure I can show why you should stay with your local dealer that cares about your town! -Fred Barber I've known Fred Barber since high school. His integrity has always been beyond reproach I have been in business for about 40 years, and in that time have done business with Barber Brothers. First when they were in south Spanish Fork on the east side of the road, then they moved to the west side of the road in the old Gridley Chevrolet building, then to the new location on the north end of Spanish Fork. I have purchased over 30 autos and trucks from Barber Brothers, and have always been treated like I was the most important person in the store. When 1 needed service on any of the vehicles, they were prompt and efficient. I recommend Barber Brothers to everyone I know. — Sid Paskett owner ACE Rents, Inc. Credit problems?
