Spanish Fork Milestones 1st Birthdays Colleen Orton Dallin Stan Engle Celebrating her 80th birthday, Colleen Orton is joined by her husband, Bye, of 62 years. She is the mother of five children, two sons, Richard and Doug, and three daughters, Irma, Joan and Colette. She has lived in Salem all of her married life and loves it still. Colleen has served her church and community in many positions of leadership. She loves people and loves to make them happy. Her greatest talents are in homemaking. Happy birthday! Love, Steven, Branne, McClain and Crystal Obituary Spencer John Hawkins Spencer John Hawkins passed away on Monday, March 31, 2008. Spencer was handicapped and had many struggles in his 23-year life, but brought great happiness to all who knew him. He was not ill at the time, but passed away suddenly while sitting in his wheelchair. Spencer was the son of John and Rilla Hawkins, and Marilee Johnson Hawkins. Spencer was born on Dec. 25, 1984. He was adopted by his parents and was sealed to his family in the Provo Temple on Dec. 19,1986, after his adoption was finalized. He spent his time playing with and being loved by his sisters, Melissa and Emily, his Grandma Louise, and a multitude of family and friends. Spencer loved giggling, swimming, eating pudding, cuddling and being rocked. He especially liked being cuddled by his dad. Spencer is survived by his parents, John and Rilla Hawkins of Spanish Fork, Marilee Johnson Hawkins, Orem; sister Melissa (Kelly) Zehnter, Provo; sister Emily Hawkins, Orem, (engaged to Craig Wilson, Payson); stepsister Amy Bushman, Orem; step-brother Brian (Briahna) Bushman, Provo; step-sister Cindy (Jim) Brown, Lehi; step-brother David (Rachel) Bushman, Palmyra; stepbrother Eric Bushman, missionary in Kobe, Japan; and We would like to wish our handsome little man a happy 1st birthday today, April 9. Dallin is such a happy boy and has a smile for everyone. Dallin tries hard to keep up with his big brothers. He loves being outside and would spend every minute outside if he could. Dallin's favorite snack is Cheetos, but if he's oufside he'll settle for a rock. He likes snowmobiling and four-wheeling with his dad, and wagon rides from his mom. Dallin likes camping, too. Johnson, Martinson Missionaries Larry and Janice Johnson of Spanish Fork are pleased to announce the marriage of .their daughter, Betsey Ruth, to David Darrel Martinson, son of Joyce Martinson and David Martinson of Layton on Saturday April 12. Elder Gary R. Hawkins of Spanish Fork, son of Dolly Morris of Fairbanks, AK, and the late Ardon Hawkins of Spanish fork, has been called to serve in the San Antonio, Texas Mission. He will be speaking on April 27, 2008 at 9 a.m. in the Spanish Fork West third ward. A luncheon will be provided afterwards at 91 West 300 North, Spanish Fork. He will be entering the MTC on May 7, 2008. Lance Cole Elder Lance Cole has returned home after honorably serving in the Washington, Tacoma mission. He will be speaking on Sunday, April 13 at 9:30 a.m. in the Salem West Stake Center, 695 South 300 West Salem. Spencer is also survived by his grandmother, Louise Johnson, Orem; grandfather David H. Hawkins, Lake Shore; and numerous cousins, aunts and, uncles, and nephews, Greyson Bushman and Colbe Zehnter. He attended Dan Peterson School and graduated from Jordan Valley School in May of 2007. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of West Jordan Care Center for their friendship and care for Spencer. A funeral was held in the LDS chapel at 1875 North 280 West, Orem, on Saturday, April 5. Spencer is buried at the Orem City Cemetery, near his grandparents and great-grandparents. We will miss his gentle spirit, curly brown hair, dazzling smile and sparkling blue eyes. Weddings and Lesli Cole of Salem. She turned one on March 9. She is the daughter of Ross and Anna Fausett of Lindon. Her grandparents are Bert and Gae Fausett of Salem, Robert and Saundra Griffiths of Spanish Fork and Ruth Griffiths of Spanish Fork is her great grandmother. Zallia enjoys playing with her sisters: Oceanna, and Natasha, and her brothers: Jake, Nick and Zack.
