He serves as an officer of the National Honor Society, is vice president of the Key Club, and is an active member of the chamber orchestra. His hobbies and interests include: playing the violin, reading and playing the game of Hearts. His favorite classes are Psychology, ''because Shiloh Nelson is in the class," he said. He also likes accounting because, he said, "there is no homework," and APCalculus. "We talk about snowmen and nickels," he said. Some of Trenton's other favorite things include Chinese food, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, croquet and the book Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. Trenton said his goals include: graduating from high school, going on an LDS mission and changing the world. "I have enjoyed getting to know Trent these last couple of years," said Mr. Porter. "I am not surprised that he has been selected as student of the month because he is a terrific person and student. He is the type of person everyone likes to be around. Trent is respectful, positive and upbeat in a quiet way. He comes to class prepared to learn, and gives his best effort every time." "The more I know, the more I can do," he said. "I learn new things everyday and I feel more confident at work." "Every day I had Guy in my class last year," said Mr. LeBras. "I thanked heaven for sending such a great person into my classroom. Guy was dedicated to everything that he did. He was always on time, did his assignments and was a pleasant person to be around. Guy was also very respectful of his teachers and classmates. At 16, he already had a good job, worked hard after school and had money saved. I was so impressed with his overall determination to be good, to do well in school and with his life. I admire the wonderful person that he is!" Heather Padgett Junior Heather Padgett works part-time at Two Jack's Pizza and enjoys reading. v "You can learn so many new ideas that you can consider for yourself, and you can also experience others* situations," she said. She also considers art to be one of her favorite talents. "It allows me to express myself," she said. Heather said education is extremely important to her.. "It allows forsuccess in this difficult world and it offers a way to learn new ideas so you can think for yourself. The whole experience of learning things for you is just plain fun. Education also prepares us for a better future," she said. Heather is a serious student who is always thinking about and questioning everything. Some of Heather's favorite things include Mexican food, hip-hop, cross country and , any books with controversial topics. Her favorite class is AP Psychology. "I find it to be a very fascinating subject.," she said. "Psychology seeks to answer curiosity's questions and makes life just a little better with the solutions it finds."
