In their 18 hole dual match Jerry Ellefsen lead the SUSC team with a 73.5 stroking average, followed closely by Stuart Adams who averaged 74. Adams, a junior, and a letterman, was the medalist in the Spectrum Classic held March 30 and 31. He also leads the team with a two-ye- ar against some division I schools and were very competitive. In the past weve had trouble in the third, fourth and fifth spots. This year we have five men shooting 80 or under, thats a good team for competition. Kingsford adds. Next on the SUSC golf team schedule is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship. According to Kingsford the team has a good chance of winning. Conference is an important match. After beating Grand Canyon five times, I think we are probably favored to win, he says. This year the RMAC meet will be held at the Showboat Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. The district championships will be held May 7 and 8 in Phoenix, Arizona. The winner of that tournament will travel to Saginaw Valley, Michigan for the 1984 NALA golf championships to be held the first week of June.
