Show December 5, 1983 Page 2 The Thunderbird Monday Activities scheduled by Tamara Rumbaugh Dave Taylor, director of student activities, in executive council meeting Monday stressed the importance of student representatives being in attendance at the scheduling meetings, where the various activities to take place on campus are planned. ASSUSC WEEKLY ACTIVITIES 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DEC. 0: CHRISTMAS FILM SCROOGE, 7 P.M., GREAT HALL. DEC. 7: CHOIR CONCERT, 8 P.M., Taylor, who attended the last scheduling meeting, said that Plant Operations billed ASSUSC for some work done for the Air Supply concert which had already been paid for. Taylor contacted Plant Operation Director Gordon Slack and the situation was resolved. The students have a chance to protect themselves a little (through these meetings), said Taylor. Gordon Gurr, ASSUSC special events coordinator, orginally was to attend the meeting, but was unable to do so because he was not notified of a change in the meeting time. According to David Coles, attorney general, the cassette deck to the ASSUSC sound system is missing. The door to the room in which the system is kept was found open on Tuesday. Many upcoming activities are being planned for the next several months. The big activity for December is the Twelve Days of Christmas which started Nov. 29. Included among its many activities is the Preference Dance'which will be on Dec. 9. January activities will start off with A Night With SUSC, which, according to Student Body President Mark Wade, was very successful last quarter with over 300 students in attendance. The Club Carnival LDSSA Carnival will take place Jan. 17 and Womens Week is slated for 22-2- Feb.
