The average contribution among families who give is $1,017, a 16 percent increase since 1993. In all, three quarters of American households contribute to philanthropy. In 1996 a total of $150 billion was given to more than 1 million nonprofits. And those are just monetary contributions. Top recipients of these donations are religious and health organizations, followed by human services, youth development and education. It brought bade so many memories of childhood The games at recess are much the same as when I was a child I saw in the faces of some of the children many of the emotions that I had felt asachild Thelittlegirlplayingalone on the swings, longing for a friend The tough kid hiding his feelings by threatening the smaller boy.
