He was born in Indiana, but for his love" of Utah he should have been a Utah native. Bill loved hunting, fishing, and visiting family and friends in Utah. Bill was a retired business owner and is survived by his wife, Delaine (Jones) Waters of Irvine, California (Dee was Marion Ivey of California. Funeral services were held in Tustin, California on Wednes- day, September 30, 1998. Cemetery services were held on Saturday, October 3, 1998 at the Paragonah Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary of (Dennie) Holyoak of Michigan, Kanab, Utah. Bill was a very great-grandchildre- Billy was a very hard worker. He enjoyed music, and played the guitar and sang. He was friends with everyone, and enjoyed being around people. He is survived by his wife Lou Jean of Kanab; four loving children William H. Swapp Jr. & Edith of Phoenix, Joseph Jay Swapp & Marina of Kanab, Ruby Lin & Curt Ritter of Kanab, and Jeannine & Russel Baron of Phoenix; sisters Mary Corey of Eureka, CA, and Elsie (Maria) Reidhead of Fillmore, UT, Marlene (Jeff) Williams of Mesa, AZ, and Dawn (Tim) Greenland of Kanab, UT; 35 grandchildren, born and raised in Utah).
