Quiet and peace surround you as you listen to the gentle breeze echoing lazily through the canyon. You cant help but wonder, if it could talk, just what stories Angel Canyon could tell? The canyons history hasnt lazily-meanderin- always been one of quiet, peaceful existence. Daring cowboys have pursued outlaws, courageous Indians have fought for their homeland, and Million Dollar Men have performed remarkable feats, all in Angel Canyon. To briefly name drop, famous canyon visitors include an Outlaw named Josie Wales, a famous Arabian sheik, and a man, yes a BIG man-Dani- el Boone! In the 70s, bus tours were taken into the canyon to observe movie sets and enjoy the canyons atmosphere. With the gradual demise of remote filming, the canyon became home to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest animal sanctuary in the world. no-ki- ll A few remnants of Angel Canyons exciting movie past still remain.
