She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Stowell in 1977. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 6, i996, in the New Hope Bible Church in Kanab with graveside services Friday at 10:00 a.m., Holbrook Cemetery, Holbrook, Arizona under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. enjoyed boating on Lake Powell. While in Kanab, he worked part-tim- e as a custodian at Kanab High School and was best known as the 6106 Block sunglass salesman around town. Mr. Holmes was a Veteran of the Korean War,, a member of the American Legion Post 69 in Kanab, and an entrepreneur. Survivors include his daughters: Debbie Ann (Terry) Collett of San Diego; Kalli (Rev. Christian) Sorensen of Del Mar; and Angie Kramer of Fontana; sister, Merle Jacobson of Long Beach; and three granchildren: Jeremy Collett, Natalie Collett and Brandon Kramer. He was preceded in death by a brother Hal Holmes. No services will be held locally. Minutes of Control Board - Western Kane County Special Service District No.1 The meeting was held May 13 in Kanab. Board members present: Lloyd Heybome, Orval Palmer, Viv Adams, Gene Russell, Jim Pardee, J. D. Maxwell, Joe Judd. Others: Nyle Willis, Chris Engstrom, Jerrol Leavitt, Randy Cram, Ron Spivey. Amongst agenda items were: A request from Ron Spivey that an adjustment be made on landfill charges because of a misunderstanding of origin of trash and vehicles used to haul it in. A motion was made to adjust Mr. Spiveys bill by reducing it by half. Motion carried. Randy Cram reported that he had installed air conditioners at both the Kanab site and the Landfill site. Russell reported that the KJZZ translator at the Black Mountain Site (aka Spencer) needed to be replaced. Motion made and passed to approve purchase of replacement translator for Black Mountain. Leavitt reported that he will place dumpsters at Ponderosa Resort on the North Fork Road.
