Jim and Jackie Glover drove to Idaho Falls to bring their daughter, Deanna home from college. Beth Sorensen traveled with them and visited her daughter Lillian and family, and also greeted her grandson on his return from a mission in Poland. A father and sons outing was held in Main Canyon on Friday night and Saturday. First and Second wards attended. The Orderville Second Ward was reorganized on June 2. Bishop Merlin Esplin and Coun- sellors LaFay Coleman and Allan DeMille were released and Brian Goulding was sustained as bishop, with Rob Quist and Shane Frost as Counsellors. Many family members attended this special occasion. Mrs. Mary Jo Beatty, Cedar City, spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Louie Shakespear and her sister Janet Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Stalworthy of Washington, Utah visited his Peter and Sherry Fagergren and family of Phoenix, AZ spent several days with Sherrys mother, Ellen Chamberlain. Raymond and Joann Stewart and son Michael of Rigley, Idaho, granddaughter and family, have retired and moved to Shane and Judy Frost. Orderville. Mr. and Mrs. Gaylan Hoyt are pleased to announce the coming marriage of their daughter Robyn Mischeala to Brian Keith Church, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Church. They will be married June 22, 1996 in the St. George Temple. A reception in their honor will be held that evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Hoyt residence at 87 South 100 West in Kanab. Brian and Robyn are both graduates of Kanab High School and Brian served an LDS mission in Montana. The couple plan to make their home in Ogden, Utah where both will attend Weber State University in the fall. Womens hosted convention state The Kanab Womens Civic Club was honored to host the 103rd General Federation of Womens Clubs state convention May 2, 3, 4. The convention was held in Sandy, Utah at the Marriott Garden Court Hotel. All Utah districts were represented except Moab, which might be a ways to travel. However, close to 100 members attended. Our district supplied the 100 tote bags done by our local and talented entrepreneur, Robert Giddens, who did an outstanding job to the accolades of the recipients. We would also like to thank Keith Church and Zions Bank for donating key chains and ball point pens. Those attending from our district were Phyllis Stewart, Dori Gustafson, Clyde Vance, Jo Smith and Rosemary Goldy. We garnered 17 awards for our various local projects including a first award in poetry by Vaydes Brueck and a third place in poetry by Virginia Pezel. These entries will be sent to the national officers forjudging. - The convention was very successful and fun and we were Neil and Emily Marie Crosby are celebrating their 50th wedding anniverproud to host it during our censary. They were married in the St. George Temple on May 24, 1946 just after Marie graduated from Dixie College and Neil returned from army service in the tennial year. Pacific. They soon moved to Salt Lake City where Neil attended the University of Utah School of Pharmacy. After graduating in 1950 they returned home to Kanab where Neil worked at the old Kanab Drug for 42 years. Marie worked with Neil the last 10 years. Children and grandchildren enjoyed working there clerking and taking yearly inventory. Neil and Marie raised three daughters and two sons: Marie Adele Terry, LouAnn Page, Arizona; Janeil Simmons who passed away October, 1987; Smith ofNikiski, Alaska; Elgin Crosby of St. George, Utah; and Sean Crosby, Kanab. They are proud grandparents of 23 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Neil and Marie are devoted to their church, enjoy gardening, and enjoy are being retired.
