In answer to a reporters question about the availability of farm bill money for rural economic development, Wilson said the Dixie Forest is contributing by way of the monies brought to our area through the Kaibab in Fredonia. Building department representative Lloyd Heybome asked the commission for guidance on advertisingfor the assistant. Johnson Canyon property7 owner Allen Gilberg asked for someone to enforce the terms of the conditional use permit issued to Max Bertola for the Movie Set, which the planning commission has cited numerous start-ingpa- violations. Gilberg is concerned that these violations including living quarters, stable operations, advertising, gun fights and other activities, are in total disregard of the commissions zoning regulations. Kane County Assessor Richard Swapp noted that many boats moored at Bullfrog and other points in Kane County, valued up to many thousands of dollars, are not registered in Kane County. His office is continuing to address this problem, of which he wanted the commission to be aware of. Brent McClellan told the commission his plan for the disposal of used tires. He said he has checked several times with Nyle Willis, accountant of the Western Kane County Special Service District, without any response. McCellans program is to take the tires, maybe as much one hundred thousand, and get paid by the state for them, with most of the material being recycled.
