DOUGLAS ALLEN Attorney for Administrator 2121 South State Street Salt Lake City, Utah Hungarian Family Guests At Motel Angelo Calfo, southeast Salt Lake motel operator, had a dif-ferent kind of guest with him last week. Mr. Calfo, who runs the Motel Utah at 645 E. 21st South, opened his motel to a family of three from Hungary, Imre Dravecz, his wife and six-year-o- ld child. The Draveczs, described by Mrs. Calfo as "just as sweet as can be," spent a week at the motel with the Calfos. At the dinner table, the Hungar-ian family used an English-Hungaria- n dictionary to communicate with the Calfos. "You ought to see how fast they catch on," Mrs. Calfo, who found them interesting and enter- - taining people, declared. After spending a week at their temporary home, the Draveczs moved to a new home at 848 W. Second South so Mr. Dravecz could be close to his new job at the Salt Lake Macaroni Co. Mr. Dravecz was a crane operator in Budapest before fleeing the recent revolt Hoping to become United States citizens soon, Mr. and Mrs. Dravecz are attending classes in English. They were among a group of Hungarians brought to Salt Lake City under the sponsorship of the Catholic Woman's Leauge. Adventist Delegates Travel To Reno By Doris Duncan Delegates from the Salt Lake City Seventh-Da- y Adventist Church traveled to Reno, Nevada this week to attend the Nevada-Uta- h Constituency Meetings which began Tuesday evening and con-tinued through Wednesday of this week. Those traveling from Salt Lake City were: Pastor and Mrs. J. B. Currier, Elder and Mrs. H. C. Glenn, Mrs. Teola Nelson, Mrs. Goldie Swing, and Mrs. Emma Trapp. Church officials for the coming two years were elected and reports of work progress during the past two years was discussed with future plans being outlined. Churches sending representa-tives from Utah included the Provo, Ogden, Price, Moab, Mil-for- d, and Liberty Park and Central Salt Lake Seventh-Da- y Adventist groups. President C. L. Bower of the Pacific Union Conference presided over the sessions, bringing with him 'from Central California repre-sentatives and Church Officials to counsel with the Nevada-Uta- h delegates. It was reported that for the year, on a world basis, more than $1,000,000 in cash, some 5,000,000 srticles of clothing and 2,000,000 food contributions were given in the welfare program, conserva-tively valued at $23,708,912. Nearly 60 per cent of this aid was given in North America.
